Tongle Lisu village

Tongle Lisu village is a traditional settlement with a history of two hundred years. The wooden houses are situated on a steep hillside, and the village is connected to the outside world by only a small road, requiring careful driving.

Generally speaking, the first floor of these wooden houses is used for livestock, and the second floor is for living quarters. However, people now evidently prefer modern houses, and only a few elderly individuals remain in the village; most people seem to have moved away. This might be the common fate of almost all rural areas.
