Dapeng Fortress

Dapeng is the first choice destination for all team-building activities of Shenzhen companies. Almost every company I've worked for has organized a team-building event in Dapeng. But this time, my wife and I took the bus here to see what places there are beyond the usual routes in Dapeng.

Dapeng was originally a military camp in the Ming Dynasty, aimed at resisting pirates. The locals speak a language called "Dapeng military speech," which is quite different from that of the surrounding indigenous residents, making Dapeng a dialect island.
